These are a few of our favorite things......

This is the Gridley Tunnel.....a teeny tiny one way tunnel......good thing for these tiny Japanese cars!
This is where we buy our groceries
This is where the kids go to school

This is where Michelle Works.....on the third floor.....as a labor and delivery nurse.

The beautiful cherry blossom trees in the spring.

This is where we watch all of our movies.

The post office......I have filled out many many custom forms here!

These are the "Towers" where many people live (not us....we are in a townhouse). The Towers are giant apartment buildings with 2 and 3 bedroom units.
The Chapel of Hope.....this is where we go to church.

The Navy Lodge.....we spent many nights in the lodge when we first moved to Japan.

Tokyo Children's Castle

I think this is the only place where kids can paint on the wall without getting in trouble!
The kids got one on one origami lessons.....they all learned how to make an origami caterpillar.

I took the kids to the Tokyo Children's Castle. It is a really great 5 story children's museum in the heart of Tokyo. The kids loved riding oversized tricycles on the roof of the building. The views were great and we got to see lots of different sculptures and buildings from the top of the museum. They workers loved the kids.....they love all kids......but especially American kids.

We surprised the kids with a trip to Disney Sea

We surprised the kids with a trip to Disney Sea over spring break. They woke up and we loaded them into the car, still in their jammies. We told them that we were just going to go through the McDonalds drive through and then drive around the Yokohama and Tokyo area to celebrate our one year anniversary in Japan. They actually believed us.....because it actually was our one year anniversary. But......after about an hour they all started complaining and griping.....so we pulled into the Disney Sea parking lot and told them we were just turning around.....and that it was sure a bummer that they were still in their jammies or we would have gone to Disney Sea. Little did they know....I had their stuff all packed up and we were there to stay. It was an awesome day.....beautiful weather......the kids were excellent......and because of the shortened height requirements for rides here in Japan (remember this is the land of little people) Carson had his first ride on Tower of Terror!!!!!

Darn these Japanese maps!!!!!

We were all ready with our 3D bug glasses.....the show was great.....but I am sure it would have been better if it was in English!

Notice the big popcorn bucket around Carson's neck. When you go to Disney and Disney Sea the big treat that you buy is not a churro or funnel cake.......it is popcorn. They have all sorts of popcorn flavors......Cinnamon, Honey, Sea Salt, Pepper, Curry, Chocolate, Strawberry, and Caramel. So, we bought a souvenier bucket and just kept refilling it. Mmmm.....mmmmm.

My favorite spring pictures.....in our backyard.

Kamakura and The Great Buddah during the Sakura Season

The kids enjoy a cool and refreshing Ramune (aka Marble soda) To open this soda you push down the marble indide of the cap.

A Sakura Blossom

This is the main walkway that runs down the middle of the street in Kamakura. It was lined with lanterns and cherry blossoms.

Carson and his best bud Jake.....up to no good!

Daibutsu.....the Great Buddah.

Michelle Visits Korea (without the kids!)

mmmm....mmmmmm....stewed larvae........would you like that with a fork or spoon......or chop sticks perhaps.

Nothing like seeing men is dresses......actually this was part of a Korean ceremony at the base of the Seoul Tower.

I took this picture in one of the traditional Korean villages.

Ahhhh....the cool refreshing taste of COKE.....or at least we think it was Coke!

Wongaberger???

mmmm....mmmmm........dumplings......we think.
